Paul’s 6-day Hebridean Way Adventure

A massive well done to Scottish Engineering Chief Exec, Paul Sheerin for completing his recent 6-day round trip cycle from Glasgow to Stornoway. With sustainability at the forefront of his mind, and a commitment to work on Scottish Engineering’s own net-zero roadmap, Paul decided to cut down on some CO2 emissions and hop on his bike for this latest Member visit.

Paul has cycled over 300 miles to visit our most westerly member – MACMILLAN ENGINEERING LTD based in the Stornoway Port Authority on the Isle of Lewis. A big thank you to Sandra, Colin, Gordon Mackenzie and the Macmillan team for providing an inside look at the wide variety of marine engineering services they provide to their customers. It’s clear to see Macmillan is an essential marine service company and essential to the community they serve.

Obviously North Scotland was the place to be, as Paul has the pleasure of bumping into another ScotEng Member, Geoff Crowley in Castlebay, Barra – thanks for the pint Geoff!

Paul has now returned to the ScotEng office with some sore legs, but with some very special memories of his trip, experiencing the very best our beautiful country has to offer!
