Their outstanding presentations demonstrated a remarkable depth of engineering talent, of which Scotland can be justifiably proud. Determining a winner among such a high standard of entries was a considerable challenge, but in Zak Thomson of Emtelle, we have a worthy winner. Zak’s project started by seeking to meet a customer request for a solution that did not exist at the time of asking, and he went on to design a low-cost method which is now subject of a patent application and under evaluation adoption by clients all over the world.
