Our next Member Networking and Best Practice event will be hosted by Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems at their specialist site in Prestwick.

Join us on Thursday 25 August, 10.00am-1.00pm for an opportunity to hear industry updates, share common challenges and solutions, and gain a better understanding of how fellow member companies are continuously improving their business. Our host has generously arranged a short tour of their facility, where attendees will gain a behind-the-scenes look at the Prestwick factory and its processes and hear first hand Woodward’s inspirational story of Growth and Lean practices put into place to achieve this.

Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems Prestwick which operates as part of Woodward Inc was opened in 1998 to provide MRO services to the aircraft industry for the EMEA region. On the site, the speciality is the repair and overhaul of Aircraft fuel control systems, and actuation systems as well as offering regional customer support. The products that are processed in Woodward Prestwick can be found on many of the aircraft flying in the EMEA region. Aircraft supported go from the many small Turbo Prop operators though to the single Isle Boeing 737, 757 and Airbus A320 series. Woodward Prestwick also supports the wide-body fleet and has significant content on the Boeing 787, 777 and Airbus A380 engines. With significant growth ahead, the company continues to evolve its lean manufacturing principles and has created world-class processes which continue to evolve.
