Online Webinar
We are pleased to welcome the HS2 team to our upcoming rail cluster online event on Tuesday 7 December at 12 noon. Join us and hear from the HS2 team about how Scottish businesses, like you, can get involved.
HS2 is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to better connect UK towns and cities, regenerate communities and make a step change in the Government’s commitment to becoming Carbon Zero. It is already helping to boost the Scottish economy and that trend is expected to continue into the next decade and beyond. Already 2,000 businesses are working on HS2, almost all of them are based in the UK and most are SMEs. But there’s much more to come. Construction of the Birmingham – London phase of the railway is expected to create some 400,000 contract opportunities and businesses in Scotland are well placed to take advantage.
Hosted by the rail cluster project with speakers, Antony Steele, Supply Chain Manager, Robin Lapish, Senior Supply Chain Manager from HS2 Ltd, and Craig Michel, founder & Managing Director, Zappshelter, this is your opportunity to find out how Scottish businesses can get involved and join the HS2 supply chain. Hear from the HS2 supply chain team about how you can take the first step, no matter what the size or sector of business. We will close the event with a Q&A and we would love to hear any pressing questions you have in advance so that we can direct them to our guest speakers. Please email shonaclive@scottishengineering.org.uk with your questions, and we’ll do our best to get them answered during the session.
