The Dunfermline Facility opened in 1975 initially to supply to the Surface wellhead market. Between 1988 – 1992 TechnipFMC expanded to meet increased volumes and moved manufacturing focus to Subsea Operations. This has been its core business for over 30 years, in which time it has completed over 1300 subsea tree systems, which puts Dunfermline at the fore of subsea tree systems production on the global stage. TechnipFMC’s manufacturing facilities consist of Machining, Weld Cladding, Weld Fabrication and Assembly & Test workshops, through which it manufactures subsea tree systems up to 60 tonnes. TechnipFMC practices Lean, and has an established Lean Management System, utilising Value Stream and Obeya methodologies to drive its operation.
