Could your business use a free graduate?

Join us on Tuesday 30 November as we welcome the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland’s (NMIS) Manufacturing Skills Academy for a webinar that will highlight a series of exciting opportunities for the SME community across Scotland.

Following receipt of funding from the Scottish Government’s National Transition Training Fund (NTTF), and the Advanced Manufacturing Challenge Fund (AMCF), NMIS has developed a number of initiatives designed to help companies who are finding it difficult to attract and retain talent and/or get on the digital manufacturing pathway.

Hear from Stewart McKinlay, Skills Director for the Manufacturing Skills Academy at NMIS as he talks about:

  • Recruiting a STEM graduate for FREE

NMIS is recruiting fifty STEM graduates who have been unable to find a job due to Brexit and the pandemic for a 3-6 month period and are looking for employers to welcome them into their workplace and provide a work experience opportunity at no cost to the employer.

  • Creating a diverse workplace

NMIS, in collaboration with Equate Scotland, and AFBE Scotland are hosting this new training programme to support women and underrepresented groups to find employment, helping employers to make some changes to help attract more diverse talent.

  • Free training opportunities

Through the AMCF scheme, NMIS has created a series of free training and support, designed specifically for manufacturing SME’s to help businesses successfully navigate the digital transformation journey.

There will be an opportunity to direct questions to Stewart and the team throughout the session. If you could benefit from the information covered in this webinar, register today through the below link, or contact sarahcarvill@scottishengineering.org.uk for more information.
