Engineering Education Scheme Scotland

 

The Annual Exhibition and Awards Day event was recently held at New Lanark Visitor Centre.  Four teams were presented with awards on the day, these are shown below (click on the picture to see larger version).  Our thanks to the company engineers, teachers, students and sponsors for making the event such a success.  For more details of projects completed by the teams please see the photographs section below.

 John R Muckersie Award for exemplification of team spirit and presistence in pursuit of project work was awarded to Bannockburn High School working with Tensarc.

 Glasgow Caledonian University Award for design excellence was awarded to Kilsyth Academy working with Walker Precision Engineering Ltd.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers Award for application of mechanical principles was awarded to Woodmill High School working with Babcock Engineering Services.

The Scottish Engineering Award for effective collaboration between school and company was awarded to Falkirk High School working with British Waterways.

The Royal Academy of Engineering Award  in recognition of overall creative excellence was awarded to Merchiston Castle School working with the UK Astronomy Technology Centre.

design devices for producing an angular deflection and translation of an optical beam
