| Flag awarded to Clyde Union Pumps |

The winner of the Scottish Engineering Award for 2010, Clyde Union Pumps, was presented with the official Award flag Monday 16th August 2010 at their Glasgow plant in Cathcart. The flag was presented by Dr Peter Hughes, Chief Executive of Scottish Engineering to Frank Barrett, Plant Director Glasgow.
Dr Hughes explained that one of the reasons that Clyde Union Pumps had won the award was because the company had made a significant impression in the market place during the recent challenging trading conditions worldwide.
It produced a 68.2 percent increase in order input while its six major competitors recorded declines of between 11.2 and 32.1 per cent. |
