Scottish Engineering meet the Prime Minster, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Deputy Governor of the Bank of England

Scottish Engineering and a group of senior executives from their member companies met the Prime Minister, The Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP, in Fife on Tuesday, 18th August 2009.

The Prime Minister congratulated Scottish Engineering on the excellent work they do in taking out a positive message on engineering, science and technology to students in our schools, colleges and universities.

Engineering companies fear for Energy Supply
Scottish manufacturing engineering companies throughout Scotland are expressing concerns over their future energy supplies.

While conducting a series of meetings with companies around the country, Dr Peter Hughes, Chief Executive of Scottish Engineering has been inundated by serious doubts from member companies over the long-term security and sustainability of their electricity supply.
