Thales in Glasgow requires a Manufacturing Apprentice to provide support to the manufacturing team. This role will work on the assembly and test of sub assemblies and products to defined standards/methods, to support timely delivery of customer requirements.

This position will undertake training to develop required skills in the following areas: -


  • Assembly and Wiring of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical equipment and systems, to required company standards (Soldering and Wiring to IPC 610 and 620 Class 3)
  • Assembly and repair to component level of multi-layered surface mount boards.
  • Wiring of complex units from circuit diagrams which includes routing wires, soldering and lacing.)


Furthermore, you will have the ability to operate in a methodical and disciplined manner to company standards, processes and procedures and be capable of working as part of a team to meet shared quality and output objectives.
